These are some flowers that popped up in our backyard. We pulled them up because we are going to try a raised bed where these flowers were growing. Does anyone have any advise about how to create the 'perfect' vegetable growing soil?
I would love to see some of the things growing in your gardens.
Hi Maddy:
ReplyDeleteWhen we get home I will post a picture of our garden. I am not sure I am cut out for blogging. Even with spell check I must be one of the worlds slowest and most tentative typists. Good luck on your garden though.
Thank you!! I am just excited to have someone comment! I like the picture of you and Cameron.
ReplyDeleteHi Maddy - I finally got signed up for your garden blog - I was going to post a picture but the stupid IT people at work removed all of my personal pictures off of my computer! the nerve! I will have to wait until I get home. Anyway - Vern has run the rototiller around the garden area a couple of times so far but nothing is planted - we better get going as it looks like we are falling behind! We also have the square foot gardening book you are following - its too scientific for me - I can't plant in confined spaces, hence, our garden always looks like a jungle. Do you need any extra tomato plants? I have a bunch started from seed - maybe 6 different varieties. I will take some down to gma this next weekend. I think blogs are supposed to be short so I better stop. Love, Aunt Sally (are you supposed to sign a blog?)
ReplyDeleteExcellent!! I am glad you signed up! If you have any questions about how to make a blog posting feel free to ask me. Although this site is pretty user friendly. Thank you for the offer of tomatoes, but i think me and peter have enough to feed the two of us right now. We have two big tomato plants we bought as starts, and there are three others that have come up as 'volunteers' from the previous renters garden last summer. So they are mystery tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteI think signing or not signing are both acceptable.
Love,
Maddy.
